Steven is a commercial lawyer who has been exposed to both in-house and private-practice environments and has a particular expertise in the Automotive industry. 

He has a pragmatic style and is adept at breaking down the complexities of the law to provide strategic, commercial and practical advice to a broad range of automotive clients.

Steven is versatile and has a proven track record of facilitating  new entrants into the Australian automotive industry and supporting them with legal compliance, risk management and strategic advice to achieve their growth aspirations.

Steven has also worked within the telecommunications, property and retail sectors. He has broad commercial experience and maintains a strong focus on franchising related legal matters.

With over 20 years’ commercial and transactional experience working in both private practice and as a Corporate Counsel, Jessica provides tailored strategic legal advice to Boards, Management and executive teams.

Jessica has comprehensive experience across the transport and automotive field in establishing and leading a best practice legal unit, in providing specialist legal advice and in managing and mitigating legal risk, including a wide variety of local and international transactions. Jessica is well versed in stakeholder engagement and management, contract drafting and negotiation, statutory interpretation and advising on compliance and risk management strategies.

John Sinclair is a seasoned General Manager with over 30 years of high-level leadership experience across the automotive sector in Australia, Europe, and Southern Africa. Renowned for a strategic and performance-driven approach, he excels in developing and restructuring dealer franchise networks, with a strong focus on profitability improvement, business process optimization, and market expansion.

With extensive expertise in managing automotive franchise networks, John has successfully established and revitalized dealer networks for major brands including Nissan(South Africa & Europe), Alfa Romeo, Fiat, UD Trucks, Infiniti, and Renault. Notably, he played a pivotal role in restructuring Nissan’s Nordic and Baltic dealership networks as Network and Quality Director for 6 years and spearheaded the setup of Alfa Romeo’s and Fiat’s dealer network in Southern Africa. His pragmatic leadership style is complemented by robust analytical and change management skills, enabling effective implementation of dealer agreements, sales strategies, and dealer standards that boost sustainable business value.

John’s expertise extends to executive consultancy in turnaround and business development initiatives across the automotive technology, training, and manufacturing sectors. This profile reflects his extensive commercial and operational leadership experience, highlighting a proven track record of steering complex automotive franchise operations worldwide and delivering tangible business results.

Andie is a second-year law student at Monash University with a keen interest in commercial legal matters. 

Working collaboratively alongside our other trainee solicitors, Andie provides essential support to our senior solicitors across a wide range of work. 

Andie seeks to ensure the experience of our automotive clients is one defined by genuine care and convenience. 

In her spare time, Andie regularly practices Pilates, enjoys spending time with family and friends and is trying her best to manage two very enthusiastic dachshunds.

Lily is studying Law and Science at Monash University and working part time at The Auto Lawyer.

In collaboration with trainee and senior staff, Lily provides considered and practical assistance across a varied range of legal matters. Lily helps ensure that the experience of our firm’s clients is characterised by both professionalism and efficiency.

Outside of her studies and work, Lily enjoys running and is an active member of the Australian Army Reserve. 

George is working part time in the firm whilst undertaking a Law and Commerce degree at Deakin University.

George assists our senior solicitors in representing motor vehicle OEM's in their Australian Consumer Law motor vehicle claims and has developed a good understanding of the issues involved. 

George is valued for his attention to detail and ability to create high quality legal documents.

George is captain of the U19's AFL team at Donvale Football Club, plays seniors cricket for Lower Eltham and is still believes that Essendon can win a final.
